Sascha’s Secret Love Letter #40
Quotes From The Heart
"The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love."
— Hilary Stanton Zunin
Zunin is a grief counselor, which gives this line a weight that self-help platitudes usually lack. She's not speaking theoretically. She's speaking from years of sitting with people at the end of things, and what she observed is this: the deepest regrets aren't about love that ended. They're about love that was never risked at all. That reframe is worth sitting with for a while.
Try this: Think of a time you held back from love to protect yourself and ask honestly: was the protection worth what it cost you?

Only 26% of Women Are Currently Active Daters… Here's What That Actually Means
The 2026 dating recession data keeps surfacing new angles worth discussing. According to the State of Our Unions survey, only 26% of women identify as active daters, with financial pressure, low confidence, and disappointing past experiences cited as the primary barriers. What strikes me most is that the numbers don't point to apathy. They point to protection. Women aren't disinterested in love, they're exhausted by the cost of pursuing it, financially and emotionally. That's a meaningful distinction. Because the fix for apathy and the fix for exhaustion are completely different things.
Question for you: If cost, financial or emotional, were completely removed from the equation, would you be dating more right now, and what would change?

Why "Someday" Is the Most Dangerous Word in Love
I've had this conversation so many times, with women who have built extraordinary lives, that I know exactly how it starts. "When this project wraps up. When things settle down. When I finally hit this next milestone." And I understand it completely, because you've built everything you have by being disciplined, by sequencing priorities, by knowing when to focus.
But love isn't a project with a finish line. And the version of your life where things are finally calm enough to let someone in? It isn't coming. There will always be another mountain.
The real issue isn't that you're too busy. It's that nobody ever taught you to treat connection the way you treat the things you've already built.
You don't wait until you have energy to work out. You schedule it and show up. Your love life deserves the same non-negotiable slot.
This week's video is short, direct, and practical. It won't ask you to slow down. It will ask you to make room.
Try this now: Look at your calendar this week and block one evening with no agenda except to be available, to yourself or someone else.

Your Secret Invitation
Closure is an inside job. You do not need the other person to acknowledge your pain in order for you to heal from it.
Reflection: What words are you holding onto that need to be written down and then burned?
Note: You are writing the letter to free your own spirit, not to change theirs.
Until next week
